At a gala event hosted by the Australian Hoteliers Association (AHA WA) at Crown Perth this week, Burch Family Wines was awarded the highly coveted and prestigious title of Best Cellar Door in Western Australia.
The criteria that needed to be met to win the award ranged from theme and decor through to outstanding customer service and presentation.
General Manager, Amy Burch said, this award is tremendously exciting for Burch Family Wines and comes at a time of growth and innovation for the winery.
“We believe the location of our cellar door is spectacular, located on top of a hill with commanding views over the magnificent Leston vineyard and parklands, it is flanked by tall marri and jarrah trees. It is fantastic to be recognised like this and to know thanks to this award, that many others also believe our Margaret River cellar door is the most impressive in Western Australia.”
Mrs Burch said, the wine tasting room is acclaimed for its award winning architectural design and Feng Shui principals. It is large and uncluttered which allows for a relaxing and pleasant wine tasting experience.
“We have known for years our cellar door staff are second to none because of their knowledge of our wines and their enthusiasm for the business. And now we can officially say it is true!”
Mrs Burch said they are now gearing up for three Fringe events as part of the Margaret River Gourmet Escape at the winery, which will allow visitors a chance to experience Western Australia’s best cellar door for themselves.
