We have the luxury of showcasing wines from two premier regions within Western Australia. Sourcing the highest quality fruit from both the Margaret River and Great Southern regions allows us to have both the lighter, more aromatic styles of the Great Southern and the more powerful styles from Margaret River. This allows more variety at the dinner table and even comparisons between the two regions to be recognised.
Like any great dinner, this one will kick off with Champagne. At this Dan Murphy's dinner, you will enliven your taste buds with a glass of Duperrey NV Premier Cru Champagne upon arrival.
From here, two of the white Howard Park aromatics from the Great Southern and Margaret River vineyards will be matched to a suitably light and appealing entrée offering.
Margaret River outright is offered next, in the form of its truly stunning Chardonnay, matched to a bold food pairing.
Next, we will compare and contrast the two regions using the same grape variety. How they differ will be evident but why they differ will be discovered. Matched to the one dish, we can see how they react differently at the table.
Now the flagship wine is unleashed. The pride of our fleet and the basis in which all Western Australian wineries are judged; Cabernet Sauvignon is on show. Power, finesse and class are yours to ponder and enjoy.
The evening will conclude as it started, in France. The decadent dessert wine of Bordeaux, Sauterne is yours to enjoy matched to the final food offering.
Join Richard Burch for an evening of celebration of the best of food and wine in style.
