Our inaugural International Pinot Noir Tasting and Lunch has wrapped up for another year, with the 2014 tasting being hailed as one to remember.
The day started with an impressive line-up of 18 Pinot Noirs from highly regarded and interesting producers from around the world, including France, USA, Germany, New Zealand and of course, Australia. Participants had the opportunity to experience Pinot from various terroir and to listen to esteemed experts in the field, Gary Walsh and David LeMire, as well as Jeff and Amy Burch.
Following the tasting was a delectable lunch in the new premium wine tasting facility, the Wine Chapel. The venue was a hit among guests and served as the perfect setting for lunch with beautiful weather emphasizing the fantastic view of Leston Vineyard from the Wine Chapel terrace.
West Australian chef personality Herb Faust once again created a delectable menu which matched perfectly to a careful selection of Howard Park wines.
As the day went on, some guests hit the Wine Chapel dancefloor while others joined in a game of cricket below the terrace.
The day proved to be a huge success and celebration of all of the good things in life - delicious food, informed speakers, great music, fantastic wine and wonderful company.
