AUGUST 2015

2014 Howard Park Chardonnay
“A selection of various vineyards in Margaret River and Great Southern it’s beautifully crafted from the nose of pure delight through a multitude of flavours as it travels across the palate, it’s still tight in structure and that holds a couple of points back but an easy 94 and for those with the money $54 is a fair price.”
94 points – Tony Keys, The Key Report

2014 Howard Park Flint Rock Chardonnay
“Howard Park rarely disappoints on the chardonnay front. Pull out a plump, ripe grapefruit and slice it into chunks; squeeze the juice from it; lighten off the bitterness via sweet lime, nectarine and cashew notes; and add a chalky, dry sense of control to the finish. That’s the wine. It has intensity, purity, flavour and – most of all – is highly refreshing.”
91 points – Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

2014 Howard Park Cellar Collection Chardonnay
“A blend of eight barrels from southern Margaret River, matured for 9 months in those barrels. It is immaculately groomed and balanced, without a single hair out of place, and will do its utmost to please no matter where or when it is consumed.”
90 points – James Halliday, James Halliday Australian Wine Companion Magazine

2012 Howard Park Leston Cabernet Sauvignon
“Charming and sumptuous, this multifaceted cabernet is packed with blackcurrant and dark plum characters as well as beautifully infused cedary oak and dried sage complexity. It is concentrated and plush on the palate with plenty of grainy tannins, providing excellent structure and finish. Great line and length.”
96 points – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Howard Park Jeté Brut Blanc NV
“The majorly grape is chardonnay (87 per cent) with the remainder being pinot noir, strong in flavour wine that flexes its muscles as it travels across the palate and a very long aftertaste, 94 points and worth the $34 asked.”
94 points – Tony Keys, The Key Report

2014 Marchand & Burch Porongurup Chardonnay
“The beauty starts with the nose; it’s gentle now but will strengthen as it ages it will grow in seductive essence. The wine dances across the palate each light footfall releasing hints of flavour and there are many flavours, this is gorgeous now and will become more so, 96 now but more to come and for those with the money $73 is very good value.”
96 points – Tony Keys, The Key Report

2014 Marchand & Burch Mount Barrow Pinot Noir
“… It is soft, juicy, dense and modern with excellent length, finish and aftertaste. Succulent and concentrated, there is a high quality fruit with a fresh modern, elegant, fragrant new world style that is becoming ethereal. My style of Pinot Noir.”
18.3 points – John Jens, Western Suburbs Weekly
