The MadFish team competed against six other corporate teams, in a tag-team, relay-style competition, held on Sunday, 6th April, in conjunction with the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro to raise funds for SurfAid.
An intensive fundraising campaign leading up to The Pro meant the Madfish Team more than doubled last year’s result, raising an impressive $9,531.
In The Cup, team participants Mick Gullan and John Rodda from MadFish Wines, as well as Peter Holywell, CEO at Supa Stik Labels were joined by Pro Tom Innes in tough conditions, battling huge, erratic swell and strong winds.
The Madfish Team came 3rd in their heat and 5th overall, with overall Cup winners the Margaret River Wineries Team – which consisted of Stella Bella, Voyager, Rosily & Xanadu.
