HOWARD PARK

2010 Howard Park Grand Jeté
“The investment in sparkling wine technology and vineyards is starting to pay off for Howard Park. This is a cracking good wine. Showing some serious autolysis yeast conversion characters especially on the deep and complete mid palate. Creamy with lots of citrus rind, brioche and roasted cashew. Complex and powerful with tremendous length.”
95 Points – Ray Jordan, Best of the West 2016, Sparkling – Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2016

2014 Howard Park Mount Barker Riesling
“A Riesling that displays all the character and fine lines you expect but with a deceptive depth and intensity on the palate. There’s the typical Great Southern spiciness with a little more talcy citrus and fine delicate acid. Persistent long finish with excellent cellaring potential.”
94 Points – Ray Jordan, Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2016

2015 Howard Park Porongurup Riesling
“Here is the epitome of the modern Riesling from one of the best areas for the variety in WA. It’s fine and elegantly poised, with a defined lingering palate. This is such a good wine that it will show its best in a few more years.”
94 Points – Ray Jordan, White Light, West Weekend

2014 Howard Park Flint Rock Chardonnay
“Green gold in colour with a nose that is definitive chardonnay, no matter where it comes from. Well balanced yet on the lighter side, excellent wine, very enjoyable. 94 points and great value at $28”
94 Points – Tony Keys, The Key Report

2014 Howard Park Chardonnay
“A beautifully complex Chardonnay. Opening with a savoury nose of light sonefruit and fine oak, it gives way to a vibrant palate of fig and nectarine within a zesty framework of lemon acidity. Subtle vanillin oak and nutty lees add to the vibrant yet creamy mouthfeel. Excellent texture and endless length.”

2013 Howard Park Allingham Chardonnay
“A stunning new release from Howard Park that pays homage to Burch grandmother Muriel Allingham. It’s from a mix of vineyards, largely from Margaret River and the remainder from the Great Southern. There’s power and a linear finesse that carries the palate to a very long finish. A mix of cereal and honeycomb with a little pear and vanillin influence and a splash of citrusy grapefruit. Glorious wine that joins illustrious company of great WA chardonnays.”
97 Points – Ray Jordan, Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2016

2015 Howard Park Flint Rock Pinot Noir
“Defined PN nose, light across the palate, but striking enough right notes as it travels to warrant 92 points and an OK price of $28.”
92 Points – Tony Keys, The Key Report

2013 Howard Park Leston Shiraz
“A distinctive leathery savoury mix on the nose with a liberal amount of liqueur dark chocolate. This is from the Margaret River property and shows some of those savoury influences of this region. Ripe supple tannins and plenty of complementing oak work their stuff with the plush fruit.”
91 Points – Ray Jordan, Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2016

2012 Howard Park Abercrombie Cabernet Sauvignon
“This is a wonderful expression of cabernet having been sourced from vineyards in Margaret River and the Great Southern. Whether it’s a style shift or a vintage thing, the restraint and seamless effortlessness that stamp this is a little different from previous vintages. Such elegance and poise, yet still with all that underlying power and fruit intensity. Just love the balance and beautiful, almost pretty, palate.”
97 Points – Ray Jordan, Ray Jordan Wine Guide 2016

2013 Howard Park Scotsdale Cabernet Sauvignon
“Yes it's different from the ‘Leston’ Margaret River wine, but it's splitting hairs. In my mind it's Australian, no nudging me towards Bordeaux but the mark is the same. 94 with more to come and well worth the $46 if putting away for a year or three.”
94 Points – Tony Keys, The Key Review of Wine

Marchand & Burch

2014 Marchand & Burch Villages Chardonnay
“The grapes originate from two regions, Porongurup and Mount Barker. The wine is also divided in its making, some in stainless steel and some old French oak. It's both light in texture and intense in flavour. A short time in bottle will enhance what is now an easy 93 point wine and may produce another point.”
93 points – Tony Keys, The Key Report

2015 Marchand & Burch Villages Chardonnay
“Fine feeling wine here. Has it all for chardonnay lovers. Richness of perfume and fruit flavour, trim of acidity that keeps the wine uplifting and vibrant, sniffs of oak, but handled judiciously. It’s got richness and glide across the palate but a mouthwatering finish that leaves you reaching back for the bottle. The wine is inherently simple, but the magic is in how that seduces you.”
93 points – Mike Bennie, The Wine Front

2014 Marchand & Burch Porongurup Chardonnay
"Light, bright yellow colour with a dairy-like aroma, creamy and possibly malo influenced. The acidity is bracingly high and refreshing, the palate taut and very lively, vivacious and tangy, ultra-long and super-fine. A superb cool-climate chardonnay. Very powerful, and the length is incredible. It will age very well, too."
97 points - Huon Hooke, 'Top 25 Wines of 2015', Huonhooke.com

2014 Marchand & Burch Mount Barrow Pinot Noir
“A Pinot drinker’s Nirvana, this delightful wine opens with a funky nose of sweet cherry fruit over stalk, beetroot and mushroom with hints of toasty oak. A powerful and intense yet poised and elegant palate of strawberry, cherry and rhubarb fruit beautifully balanced by smoky oak and delicious savoury, meaty characters. A lush and velvety texture with a ‘peacock’s tail’ of flavour fanning out on the finish”
