We are proud to announce that the 2015 Howard Park Miamup Sauvignon Blanc Semillon has won the BDO Trophy for Best Dry White Blend at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
Gold medal wins were awarded for the wine, along with two other wines from Howard Park, the 2015 Howard Park Mt Barker Riesling and the 2014 Howard Park Sauvignon Blanc, capping off a stellar show result for Chief Winemaker, Janice McDonald, Chief Viticulturist, David Botting, and their teams.
The 2015 Howard Park Miamup Sauvignon Blanc Semillon has poached citrus and marmalade, spiced with lemon verbena and vanilla pod on the nose. Ruby grapefruit, finger lime, custard apple, gooseberry and qunice with lemon curd and citrus oil add texture and richness to the palate. The wine is a perfect match for a Persian fetta, zucchini and mint tart.
We anticipate the wine will be in hot demand when we release the 2015 vintage in the next few weeks. The 2013 Howard Park Miamup Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, which won a gold medal at the 2014 Margaret River Wine Show, is available here.
