Ray Jordan names two Howard Park Cabernet Sauvignons in his Top 100 reds

Wine Reviews

Wine critic Ray Jordan has named Howard Park's 2012 Miamup Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2011 Leston Cabernet Sauvignon in his list of 'Top 100 reds'.

“One of the many sub-ranges from one of WA’s finest producers. A cabernet from the Miamup Road property in Margaret River, it displays wonderful varietal character of blackcurrant and a little black olive with those leafy cabernet notes lifting from the nose. Controlled and refined”.

He awarded it 93 points.

Also named in his 'Top 100 reds' is the 2011 Howard Park Leston Cabernet Sauvignon, with Ray saying:

“This vineyard is starting to pump out the fruit you expect from this part of Margaret River now the vines are so mature. Firm and structured with a tight weave of tannin and oak supporting the concentrated fruit. A classy statement,” and awarding it an impressive 95 points.
