Renowned wine writer Ray Jordan has reviewed the newest vintages of Howard Park's two flagship wines, the 2012 Howard Park 'Abercrombie' Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2013 Howard Park 'Allingham' Chardonnay.
2012 Howard Park 'Abercrombie' Cabernet Sauvignon
“This is a wonderful expression of WA cabernet, having been sourced from vineyards in Margaret River and the Great Southern. Whether it’s a style shift or a vintage thing, the restraint and effortlessness stamp this as a little different from previous vintages. Such elegance and poise, yet still with all that underlying power and fruit intensity. Just love the balance and beautiful palate.” 97 points
Jordan's review follows another recent 97 point review of the 2012 Abercrombie by Campbell Mattinson.

2013 Howard Park 'Allingham' Chardonnay
“This stunning new release from Howard Park is from a mix of vineyards, largely from Margaret River and the remainder from the Great Southern. There’s power, and a linear finesse that carries the palate to a very long finish. A mix of cereal and honeycomb, with a little pear and vanillin influence, and a splash of citrusy grapefruit. Glorious wine that joins the ranks of great WA chardonnays.” 97 points
