Burch Family Wines – Howard Park and MadFish wines has been named as a finalist in the 2014 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards for their contribution to the Western Australian tourism industry.
The Awards, which are now in their 42nd year, recognise excellence in the tourism industry and commend the passion and professionalism of Western Australian tourism operators.
Burch Family Wines – Howard Park and MadFish wines is nominated in the ‘Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries’ category.
Managing Director of Burch Family Wines Amy Burch says they are committed to promoting Western Australia as a premier wine producing region. “We’re very proud to be a finalist in this category, because we strongly believe in showing both local and international visitors the beauty that Western Australia has to offer,” said Ms Burch.
“Not only are we surrounded by beautiful beaches, forests, food and people, but the wine region in Margaret River is one of the best in the world and we want tourists to see that”.
Burch Family Wines run a number of events and initiatives which aim to boost tourism to the area, such as film festivals, large wine tastings, international sponsorships and most recently, the launch of a premium wine tasting facility, the Wine Chapel, which aims to provide tourists, specifically the Chinese, with a private, tailored wine experience.
Burch Family Wines is the only winery from the Margaret River region nominated in the ‘Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries’ category.
The winners will be announced at the Perth Airport Tourism Awards Gala Dinner on the 25th of October at the Crown Perth.
