MADFISH VERA’S CUVÉE SPARKLING WHITE NV
“Pale straw-yellow-gold; a blend of Chardonnay and
Pinot Noir from the coolest sites in Southern WA, it is lively
and fresh, with fine grapefruit and stone fruit flavours,
and attractive nutty/spicy yeast influences; good length
and balance.”
94 Points

2011 MADFISH SANGIOVESE ROSÉ
“Made from Sangiovese grown in the Southwestern corner
of Australia. Bright magenta, its varietal expression comes
through clearly on the first whiff of the cherry/sour cherry
bouquet, continuing in an unbroken stream on the long,
flavoursome and well-balanced palate, with the barest
hint of sweetness on the finish. It will be great served chilled
under a shady tree, this Summer or next.”
93 Points

2011 MADFISH PREMIUM WHITE
“A bit of this and a bit of that or, indeed, a bit of everything
white that grows up and down the Southern part of WA; it is
certainly well and truly removed from Sauvignon Blanc
Semillon blends.”
89 Points

2009 MADFISH SHIRAZ
“The wine opens with red-purple colour and is full of
attractive plum and blackberry fruit on the bouquet,
leading into a strongly textured and structured palate,
with black fruits, licorice, pepper and spice all woven
through with quite strong tannins. It has the balance to age
very well, and needs to be left alone for 2-3 years, then
drink it over a decade.”
92 Points

2011 MADFISH SAUVIGNON BLANC SEMILLON
“Light straw-green; thoroughly attractive gentle tropical fruit
running across the bouquet and palate is backed by enough
acidity on the finish to keep the wine fresh and lively.”
90 Points

2010 MADFISH PREMIUM RED
“This is 100% all savoury in character, with tar,
licorice, ironstone, leather and a hint of black fruit
lurking beneath; chewy fruit and tannins linger on the
finish, and unsophisticated eating is required for
maximum enjoyment.”
89 Points

2009 MADFISH PREMIUM RED
“A 75/15/6/4% blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet
Franc and Petit Verdot from regions across the Southwest
corner of WA. The relatively light colour is showing the first
signs of development, the complex bouquet and palate with a
range of fruits, including blackcurrant, cranberry and plum,
with a slightly confit character appearing on the finish and
aftertaste.”
