The village of Vosne-Romanee has been producing coveted wines of exquisite quality for over one thousand years.  In 1866 the small village of Vosne appended the name of its signature vineyard, La Romanee, which today is one of the 6 prized Grand Cru vineyards of the village.  The commune is located in the engine room of the Côte de Nuits and the village level wines offer an accessible entrée to a sublime style of Pinot Noir.  Vosne-Romanee wines are renowned for their complexity of flavour and perfect balance between delicacy and intensity – they have great structure and the 2014’s will reveal their charms further with time in the cellar.

    Tasting Notes

Intense crimson colour.  A voluptuous perfume of silky red and black plum fruit, spice and violets, with underlying gentle power, yet delicate and scented. The palate offers lovely Vosne Romanee sweet texture, with medium bodied exotic fruit married with lightly creamy oak, opening up over time, with nicely integrated tannins. This delivers well above its Village appellation, and has a long finish which promises good ageing potential.
