Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the world’s most famous and prestigious wine villages.  Of the 31 Grand Cru vineyards in Burgundy – 9 are in Gevrey, the most of any one village. The quality that is readily apparent in these esteemed sites flows down to the village wines from the plots which surround the town to the North and East.  Our 2014 Vintage Gevrey-Chambertin expresses well some of the signature traits of the village – intensity, precision, concentration and structure, while its inherent balance renders it both attractive and approachable.

    Tasting Notes

Deep limpid colour, with classic savoury aromas of dark cherries, and notes of leather and brambly earth. Typically Gevrey-Chambertin finely rich fruit and layered tannins, with lightly smoky and spicy oak, it is already drinking enjoyably but has the balance to develop medium weight earthy and gamey aromas over 5 years.
