Several vintages with an average age of 10 years were blended to form the first Howard Park Muscat. A combination of neutral and brandy spirits have been used to fortify fermenting Muscat juice at between 4 – 8 Be and maturation has taken place in old barriques.
This first release is typical Muscat; rich with fruitcake, tea and columbine aromas. The palate is luscious and textured showing warm balanced spirit and a hint of apple rancio on the finish.
