Riesling is a white grape variety which originated in the Rhine region of Germany, displaying flowery, almost perfumed aromas as well as high acidity. The Rieslings we produce come from Mount Barker and the Porongorups; from sites that are the highest in Western Australia. Cool climate Riesling tends to exhibit mineral, apple, floral tones with high acid. Riesling develops toasty characters with age. The flagship Howard Park Riesling is listed as Australia’s fourth most collected Riesling out of 3 million wines across the country and is the benchmark for Howard Park and Great Southern regional expression.
