Marchand & Burch Chardonnay evolved from the desire of Jeff Burch and Pascal Marchand to make wine of great presence and character by applying the traditional techniques of Burgundy to the unique terroir of the new world. It was in the remote Great Southern region where Pascal felt the nascent vineyards could give the most promising expression to this idea, and our winemakers have taken up this ethos over 15 years to produce a memorable series of wines.
Presented here in magnum format for superior ageing potential, and perfect for celebrating important milestones.

TASTING NOTE
Vintage
Pale straw in appearance. Delicate floral aromas of honeysuckle, orange blossom and jasmine, embellished with pear essence, nutmeal and lemon curd provide an enticing entrée to the palate. Flavours of stone fruit, melon and fig meld with nutmeal and caramel in a silky and seamless manner. The fine, mineral acidity and oak tension give restraint, texture and length to the palate.
Food Match
Serve with risotto verde or an elegant antipasto of vitello tonnato with fried capers and crusty bread.
