The Allingham is a selection from the best blocks of Chardonnay that grow on the south facing slopes of our Allingham vineyard in the Karridale sub region of Margaret River. Our skilled winemaking team draw inspiration from traditional winemaking methods and give the wine ample maturation in French oak to craft a layered, flavoursome and complex wine from this cool southern site.
We are incredibly excited to be able to offer the 2022 Howard Park Allingham Chardonnay exclusively to our Wine Club members a full two weeks in advance of the official release on 15 May.

TASTING NOTE
Vintage
Complex and opulent, this wine covers the full spectrum of classic Chardonnay aromas including citrus blossom, honeysuckle, peach, yellow nectarine, brioche, vanilla pod,
toasty oak, and butterscotch. The palate possesses layers of flavours and textures with bold, rich strokes of stone fruit, lemon curd, and pear drop effortlessly counterbalanced
by lively citrus acidity and oak influence in the form of cardamom and nutmeal. Soft and supple, the wine moves across the palate revealing great length, generosity and persistence of flavour. A very promising start to what is sure to be a long and rewarding journey as this wine continues to develop and integrate with further time in the bottle.
