MadFish Shiraz
$22.00
Surely the national red grape of Australia. The name Shiraz is unique to the island continent, the grape is known as Syrah in all other regions. Shiraz has distinct identities in its Australian homes – the wines of Barossa, McLaren Vale, Hunter Valley, and Western Australia’s Great Southern and Margaret River all express different stories.
MadFish Shiraz draws upon fruit from ideal growing locations in WA and shows the southwest version of the grape in classic, juicy style – luscious fruit, plush, some spice and downright delicious!

TASTING NOTE
Vintage
Gravel, mocha, and hints of white pepper spice lie under layers of ripe red and black fruit creating a deliciously easy to drink red. Satsuma plum, red cherry, blackberry, raspberry, violets, and dried herbs form an enticing bouquet. The palate is medium bodied with tart cranberry-like acidity and soft tannin structure leading to a powdery finish that locks in fading notes of fruit. To start, this wine showcases bright berry characteristics but over time savoury elements unfurl adding a welcome complexity to this enjoyable red.
Food Match
A natural choice to pair with meats - try matching with spicy venison sausages or beef bourguignon.
