Chambolle-Musigny is one of the most famous red wine villages of Burgundy, renowned for the Grand Cru vineyards of Musigny and Bonnes Mares and the highly distinctive style of Pinot Noir found throughout the village. Perfume, poise and power are hallmarks of the village wines, reflecting a highly favourable combination of weather conditions, seasonal rainfall and soil types.

This is a suave and seductive iteration of Chambolle-Musigny, carrying effortlessly all of the attractive traits of the village. Elegant and balanced with a slowly revealing perfume of strawberries, red cherries and subtle sweet earth, the palate segues from enlivening acid into comforting ultra-smooth tannins, which prolong the abundant fruit presence while hinting at a complex undercurrent of soft spice and soil notes. The combination of plots rich in limestone, marl or clay bring definition, weight and poise to a wine which will unfurl gracefully in the coming decade while being dangerously enjoyable in its youth.
