Tasting NotesWith its supple, sweet fruit and intriguing combination of floral, earth, and spice this wine is immediately appealing. The open and generous nose carries with it violets, red rose petal, bright red cherries and cranberries. Lying in wait beneath this bacchanal of red fruits are more savoury tones of wet soil, orange peel, iron-like minerality and sage. The component of whole bunch fruit leads to lifted cinnamon like spice and a slightly smoky, stocky aroma that creates depth. The palate is highly enjoyable with soft stewed strawberry and a medium weight. Both acidity and tannin are present yet perfectly in balance with the wine.
